The Shearing Pastor: Real life. Real faith. Real conversations.
I’m currently the Senior Pastor at Perth Hills Church (formally Kalamunda Church) and also a sheep shearer. Going from 'one flock to the other', I care about faith that actually works in real life. Most of my conversations don’t happen in church buildings.
They happen in sheds, paddocks, backyards, and pubs talking about life as it really is. I’ve walked through hardship, loss, burnout, and cancer in my immediate family.
I’ve felt the pressure and the questions.
But through it all, my faith in Jesus has held steady.
That’s what I’m about, walking with people, encouraging them,
and reminding them that faith isn’t about having it all together…
It’s about being real, and taking the next step.
And when I’m not pastoring?
I’ve got a handpiece in my hand, staying grounded in the grit and rhythm of real life.
